Need More A/C in my 97 f-350

I live in Texas and my '97 OBS PSD A/C just cannot keep up. Looking for ideas on how to make it better. Are the ways to increase the cooling capacity? Are there aftermarket A/C add ons? Am I just screwed?

Thank you!

If it isn't keeping up, you have a problem. The stock AC system has enough capacity to cool a lot more than the truck cabin.

Start by cleaning the condenser and radiator (especially if the truck is driven off-road or in dusty environments) and making sure the fan clutch is working properly. The, get the manifold gauges installed so that the system pressures can be monitored.

If you open it up you can put a different orifice tube in. I have never done this but it is supposed to give slightly cooler temps if yours hasn't already been converted but I think it should keep up anyway if everything is in order.

Paint the truck white,, and tint the windows.

But yes cleaning the condenser and radiator fins as well as making sure the system is up to factory specs as well as the Clutch fan is up to par will give you its maximum performance.
