Any Welders around here?

So after a lot of tire kickers and joy riders I've decided to keep my 78 SC. I'd like to have the floor cut out and new metal welded back in. I can weld but it's ugly when I'm done and I'd like this done right since I have something in mind for it

If any of you guys are handy with a welder and want the side work I'm all ears! I can drive the truck to you and leave it as long as you need to do the job. If possible I'd like to help and learn something while I'm at it!

If there isnt anyone who wants the job, can anyone tell me where to look? Bodyshop? I posted an ad on CL this morning but doubt anyone replies

Wish I could help ya'. I'm not going to say I "bubble gum" it on there....but it ain't pretty until you grind it down or cover it up with something else.

He might want a bit more than you want to spend, but the truck'll look like new when we're done. I work there on weekends sometimes. I was counting the other day and we've got 5 cars that came in from other shops that the owners weren't satisfied and had us tear 'em down and start all over again.

In the group shot on the first page of the site you can see my '61 F100 right behind my left elbow.

Thanks for the link but I bet he is going to be too rich for my blood. I had a guy respond to my CL ad and he is checking on metal to figure a price. Front pans I can get anywhere but the rear of the cab will have to be fabbed and that's where it's gonna get expensive if I had to guess.

I'm hoping I can just get it welded and get it home to do any grinding and then slap some bedliner on it and call it a day! It wont need to be pretty, but it'll need to be strong
