yea its sad my truck is just gonna go and go, I love that i can work on it and if somethin breaks i got a friend who can help plus a group of people who i can ask (FTE) so yea Im good, also tried a F150 newer model and i didn't really like it, the latest model I would look into personially would be a 2000 or before...
as far as i can tell i can...*looks at tv* OH GAWD the eco boost commercial......fail...anyways they don't want you fixing todays vehicles unless you take it to the dealership to get it fixed...

Just took the bed off my 96.Fords are designed to fail.Shocks that rub emergency brake cables .Upper shock brackets that collect salt and sand.Thin spring hangers that rust away.I have worked on cars and trucks since the early 50s, never saw such poor design on a chassis.A friend says they dont want you to fix them.My 77 Chev 3/4 ton was twice the truck.Much easier to work on.I have the know how and tools to fix the truck but it should be junked.14 years old ,194000 miles.I see no older Ford trucks on the road here.

I will admit my truck had a bit of rust growing on its frame (dang salters in winter) but i used about 5 cans of rust reformer and put three layers of paint over all that i could find with out really tearing it down...looks just as good as day one, all i got to do it put a clear coat for a 4th layer and i think it will be good to go...i think...
