Thanks guy s I went today to drive and check the truck out runs and shifts like it should but the dealer bought it right out from auction and has no history of the truck at all
But I really wanted diesel for its longevity of the motor and MPG's but I really couldn't loose on keeping my V10 but there is a 7.3 also I looked @ today for the same price with a biodiesell conversion already set-up with 262k
But I have decided to keep my V10 it was just 100x's better condition then these diesel I looked @ today
But in 5yrs I'm just gonna go for the 24V cummins motor swap
Thanks for all the input u guys changed my views on the 6.0's

Good choice. I had a 6.0 and traded for the 6.8. I have not regretted the decision.

I would only do it if I were in love with diesels, I was a fool, just plain stupid, liked to fix things, or liked to spend money or all of the above.

You've made the wise choice to hang onto your V10. Sometimes it takes a little prodding to appreciate just how good you have it!

Not trying to jack your thread but I was going to do the same thing a few months back.I was going to trade my 5.4 excursion plus a ton of cash for a 6.0. Glad I didn't. I don't tow much and when I do it's atv's which aren't very heavy and my 5.4 always gets better than 15mpg on the hwy. A big plus is 1 or 2min warmups in the winter vs 10min or more

Good choice! I'd never give up my known V10 for an unknown Diesel. While I'd love one myself, the unknown problems are scary. and expensive.
