while it is a good idea, i think it is a better idea to do it on a state chapter level.
if i break down in georgia, i will go straight to the georgia chapter looking for help before i would go to a forum for help.

Very true...And that was the general idea....Just to have a list of people, where they are, etc....Just in case...So, off to the State Chapters it is!

Great idea Wes, we have a few guys that have each others numbers and I do have numbers for a select few guys around the state with tons more experience than me, Tom included.

great idea!! I could cover louisville/middletown area and surounding areas around Louisville city. I can help with just about any thing as long as it does not involve rebuilding an engine

Im in Central MA have tool truck and can travel to an extent. Also Have a cat 525 C grapple skidder with a 50 ton winch that can extract the biggest ford out of the deepest mud. That service would be charged to mobilize the mec. The pete only gets 5 MPG and fuels not cheap... But, would be willing and have done 2 recovery's with it to date.

Not a bad idea at all. I like the suggestion of keeping it in the state chapters. That way, if you're in Ky traveling, you could access the Ky chapter and see who's available.

true, I kinda agree with campspringsjohn, on the part about getting this into chapter areas, but a general "master list" may be useful for situations where people need to know who can do what in a limited fashion...

@campspringsjohn: hey man glad to see another KY guy around here, lets get this bad boy started in the KY chapter so we can get this set up you know a chapter/unit is only as good as its inteligence network

Great idea Wesley! Rep sent......

The Oregon Chapter will have this set up shortly. Anyone traveling Oregon can PM me, and I'll have a contact list set up around the state.

I know it's a tough concept, but it does happen even to the best of trucks/cars at times.
