Has anyone taken off the front "bumper" on a 2004 Expedition, Eddie Bauer, if that matters. It is the urethane part that goes from fender well to fender well and contains the fog lights. We need to get ours off to do some repairs to it.

What repairs are you doing?

 

We are removing it to sand it, push a dent out and paint it. My son slid into a large rock at the end of our driveway and munged it up pretty good. When he hit the rock it pulled it down from the upper part of the front end and I see 4 tabs that need to be pushed back in and 2 plastic panel clips that have come out. In order to get the lower part back to where it goes without ripping that urethane bumper, I will need to remove it to put it back on correctly.

 

Wow, usually it isn't hard for me to find what your looking for but this time I can't get any exploded views for you. If you have a Ford dealer near ya, I would simply go to parts and ask them to print you the exploded view so you can "...know what parts to order..." Albeit they aren't the best schematics, they should show each grommet and clip. Make sure to get the overall and the closeup breakdown views.
