Finally can lock up my truck

Finally cut and installed my new door lock on the '49.

Yah... It's surprising how many people will walk up to an old truck and open the door even though there is nothing in site to take... and think nothing of it...

I don't get it either, but I've seen it even at a club meeting where they certainly know better. In "public", I'm always afraid they'll just crank harder on the handle, thinking it's rusted up.

Is the tube with the setscrew on the RH door part of the latch assembly (therefore removable) or part of the inner door structure?

It's part of the door structure.

If you lock it sombody will no doubt break the window? HA HA . I have put 3 seperate kill switches in different locations, but ya know they will prbably go for the trim pieces next., oh well, on the serious side congatulations on getting yor lock in Moe It is nice being abel to keep honest people honest.

Honest people honest is right! I caught some guy at Circle K one time sitting in my truck and I asked him if it was his and he said "no"... So I told him to get the fuc1< Out of my truck... and he said he just wanted to see what it was like.... It pisseedd me off... My windows aren't tinted.
