Howdy Steve. It's just 81 here right now. Going to get a lot hotter from the looks of it though.

We're at a cool 79 now. John, I was reading in the Martinsville Bulletin that VA Troopers have had their ranks thinned due to budget cuts. I think a lot of the politicians could also have their ranks thinned.

I agree George. The VSP had to cancel several upcoming academies under Tim Kaine's watch as governor. After McDonnell took office, he worked on reopening some of them in order to try to staff some of the vacancies. Hopefully, they'll find some funding somewhere. These guys are working very short-handed right now. It's been to the point lately that one trooper from our county has had to cover two additional counties on midnight shift.

Howdy Karl, George, and Benjamin!

Let's see Benjamin, this weekend............Friday is the last day of school for the kids here and my 18 year old son graduates High School. Saturday and Sunday, I'm off. Then I start midnight shift Monday night for two weeks. Schedule changes.........you gotta love 'em.

I'm trying to get a son to have a rock picking party at his house. I don't want to do it. Might take a 140 mile round trip to look at some 54 truck parts Sat.

Schedule changes, eh, about the only thing constant in my schedule is change right now. I'm on shore-duty, ain't I suppose to be relaxing?
