hey guys my brother bought the twin brother to my brown f250, the only difference is he got the 460 big block

so now we are going back and forth to see what motor had more grunt

its a 460,e40d, and 3.55s

mine is the same but with the 7.3 and i also have e40d, and 3.55s

his should destroy my idi in a drag race but what happens when they get hooked to loads?

so we should get to the destination at the same time because he will pass me but then i will pass him at the gas station hahahaha

 

yup.he'll need to stop twice for every time you stop once.
if your both towing,he'll need to stop 3 or 4 times to your one.
tell him at any time he feels like showing your idi up,to just hook onto you, tow you and your load down the road, for as long as he'd like.just keep praising his rig on the CB for doing such a good job until he figures out he's not the winner in the situation after all lol.

 

Throw a turbo on that bad boy and you will have more grunt, more MPGs....

 

My dad beat my buddy's Chevy 454 which is bout the same size as a 460...his 1997 2500 couldnt pull the load when the IDI could.

 

Heres a "different" test IDI vs. 460 0-60 motorhomes! Both are same size, 26ft.

My jaw droped on the table when I first saw that 460 camper do it's run!

You talking about the engine in high revs or the music playing?

I've seen a couple, but never in a camper. Never seen a camper with that much mileage period!

 

watch the gas guage, it's moving about as fast as the speedo!

 

Hahaha notice how the 460's gas gauge is running on empty and the Diesel is full!

 

BOTH! Every spring when i start the ol'6.9 its some of the sweetest music ever, next to the 401 in the pulling tractor loping on the cool morning!

 

My truck would have kicked that 460's butt. They cant compare with the torque of a turbo idi.
