05 wheels on 99

Will 2005 F250 SD wheels fit my 1999 F250 SD ?

They will bolt on because the bolt pattern is the same. However, they will rub the leaf springs when you turn in either direction because the offset is different. The 2005 and later trucks have coil spring front suspension versus the leaf spring front suspension of the earlier trucks. Ford changed the wheel offset because of the coil spring suspension.

Bummer for me because plenty of people have their newer wheels for sale cheap in the 18" and 20" variety.

I had a guy wanting to sell me a set of 05 wheel and tires and i wasnt sure if they would fit or not.

You can install wheel spacers but not sure what they look like and if they are even strong enough to handle a diesesl. I wouldnt mind seeing if someone has installed those spacers and how it looked.

I don't know of anyone with spacers on a 99 to fit 05 wheels, but I know it can be done. I also know of people running 2" spacers just for the look of the tires sticking farther out and they haven't had any problems with them. Of course their wheel bearings will probably wear down a lot faster but I doubt the OP will have this problem since he is just going with a stock size rim and tire and a small spacer
