Question Ported Vacuum Switch

I noticed that the ported vacuum switch on my '79 F150 Custom has all the nipples broken off and that one of the POs used a fitting to connect the vacuum lines. Im assuming that the PVS is required, yes? I need to make sure everythings solid so I can drive the 200mi trip home next sunday. You can see what Im talking about in the pic below:

Can't quite make it out in the picture. How many ports on the PVS? Typically the PVS is used as a temperature switch for an EGR valve or spark delay system.

Revived.....because i need this and dont know where to buy it. It has 4 ports and is blue.

Holy ancient thread!

Should be able to find it at any parts store. Got mine from Autozone. Think I had to order it.

I tried my local autozone and they dont even show a pic. I will try O'reilly....
