Anyone replacing valve springs while engine is still in truck?
Hey guys...
i had the great pleasure of doing a valve job this past weekend. i couldnt have done it without my great friends and especially my west coast friends, Clay and Peter who traveled across this great country to meet some fellow 7.3ers. it wasnt a hard job, just very tedious. i learned a tremendious amount about these trucks. the hardest part was rocking the engine. on a manual, there is very little room/space to jack one side or the other. JUST BE CAREFUL! We decided at about 1230 am to modify the valve compressor i bought. it was an OTC from summit. we redid it monday morning to make it even lower profile and a little nicer. i have no problem lending it out, but if you wanna make one here are some pics.

a tool similar to this will make your job so much easier and more efficient. good luck and if you have any questions, just ask...wish i would have taken pics while we were working to do a nice write up
