1st semi-long road trip
well i went on my 1st semi-long road trip this past weekend up north with my truck. took my three 4 wheelers up north with my friends heavy utility trailer. It went really well. drove 2 1/2 hours and temp outside was about 60 degrees. trans temp never went over 145 and egts never topped 950 with superchips tow performance tune. drove home and it was about 50 degrees out but very very windy and saw 150 tops for at one point for trans and egts never went over 1000. I could tell the engine was working harder with the wind. Noticed the coolant might have went down just a small tad not sure cause of the angle my driveway is. But i just wanted to thanks everyone for the help with the glowshift gauges i installed and all the other knowledge of what temps to watch for. I now feel more confident of what to look for if something was to happen on a long road trip from reading on this forum. Thanks again everyone!
