Gas gauge OHM range for a 51 F1

Ok so I finally got around to adding the voltage drop to my gas gauge and now it reads full with an empty tank. The tank I have is a SS unit I built but the sender is one I think I had ordered for my chevy that I had so it is most likely a 0-90 ohm unit. I need to order a new sender but I was not sure if the stock 51 F1 gage was a 73-10 ohm or what. Any help would be great.

Thanks for the help.

this help ? (many threads about this, maybe try a search)

I know that Autometer makes one only model of fuel gauge calibrated for the stock ford sending unit, forget which one, maybe the listing would show the ohms?

Well I got a hold of Rock Valley and they are the ones I bought my SS sump and EFI pump unit from when I built the tank. When I bought my parts it was for another vehicle and that sender was a 0-90 chevy unit. My tank right now is about an 1/8 full. So 1/8 of 90 is 11.25 ohm's and my stock gauge will go to full slowly as if it is input from a good sender (not peg as soon as the key is turned like with bad ones I have had in the past) and according to Rock Valley my stock gauge should be a 73ohms empty and 10 ohms full so the math works and I ordered a 73/10 and it should be here later this week. I will let you know what happens. We are just into the start of the car show season so I will be driving the F1 more and want a working gauge!

Thanks for the input and I will report back.
