Good Luck Shawn, you are certainly going to need it. I don't like the future I have to look forward to, or the present that I am living in for that matter. What line of work are you in, or are looking for?

I replaced my brake pads yesterday, just to drive home and be greeted with a lovely smell. Guess I have to replace a caliper as well. Oh joy.

Mike, that sucks about the drag link, it is hit and miss with any parts house these days. Car quest jacked me up good on Grumpy, she ordered a 1 groove valve spring retainer and I need the 4 groove one. I gave her my number and she didnt even call me, then said she would order the right one along with the rubber V/C gaskets for saturday. I was in good shape for then if they came in. I am supposed to take that test in Denver on Tuesday but that means Grumpy needs to run. Well the Gaskets came in but no keeper. I can only hope they show up Monday and he runs Monday night.

J, I am a technician at a ford, dodge, jeep dealer. I was out of it for ten years with my own company doing hardwood floors but came back last year when the economy killed my business. Anyway the glory days in this trade are gone (as all of my friends say) and I am working on getting in with the Rail Road. I am hoping this works. I will be back in Denver area but will have a good job thats steady and reliable. As well I can do the things with my pals at the track and the meet and greets im missing all of the time.

That is an odd combo dealer. Sounds like you've had your hands in quite a few different trades. You would be a good friend to have, haha.

Howdy fellas, hows the weather in Grand junction? cold and rainy in steamboat

yes J, I have tried various skilled labor trades. Decided to go back to school last year. I am hoping the Rail Road will be my final destination. plenty of room for advancement, and various skilled trades within the company itself. I feel if you have a good "hands on" work ethic you can work in just about any field.

We finally got a sunny day. First time in the last couple weeks. Seems like we will be getting a few nice days in a row. All I can think about today is how much nicer it would be driving down the road in my truck with the windows down, towing a boat to my favorite fishing place(s) in CO. Or just mostly anything other than working, haha.

ha ha nothing better than a fishing trip just to feel freedom from not having to work even if you work just to fish.

Anyone have big plans for the weekend?

I am packing my home up to move back to Denver and look for a good job. Been paying rent on a home and the landlord has been pocketing the dough and not paying his mortgage. He goes to court tomorrow and took all appliances out today.
