Pull the underbelly pan and have at it! Should just be some sheet metal screws.

Picked up the trailer again from the dealer.

Kid puts the tongue jack up and we head off to the local dump to weigh the truck, trailer and figure tongue weight. Tongue jack was non functional! WTH!?!@?!?!

Here the boy ran it up and jammed it! Blew the fuse. Get it home and get it down halfway manually and it locks up! WTH?!

Pull it apart and 2 gears have a tooth each sheared! GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

I have had it with this TT!

2 hours of my time, A $5 pack of fuses and a lot of complaining on my part and it is working again.

Amazing how that POS still works with missing teeth!

I don't think it's that simple really. It's not a regular metal ducting. It's like a cardboard, or something. N it's taped together with foil type tape. Plus there's insulation under it, along with the underbelly.

Well it is either try or shell out the $ to get it fixed! After the last year dealing with the 2 dealers, the only way I will go back to them is for a roof repair or a major appliance.

The power tongue jack on our TT would blow the fuse if was run to it's stop limits too, I replaced the fuse with an auto resetting circuit breaker and put a wrap of pinstripe tape on the jack leg to mark a stop point just before the stop limit. All is good now!

You might want to check out a cheap usb camera for finding the problem in the ducting and then make a plan to get at the problem. I picked up one of these cameras awhile ago and it has been a great help!

First thing I got to use it for was finding what one of the kids flushed down the toilet...

Fed a wire with a hook on the end down the toilet and went "fishing".

What brand name power tongue jack are you guys using? I ask because it's never happened to me in 8 years for mine.

Lippert Components Incorporated.

The model I have does not have the best reputation. I refuse to spend 300.00 on another one at them moment.

I need to start getting my trailer ready for the season.

Gotta put a new jack on the front, the one on there now i can't leave my tailgate open on the F-150 and tow it....soooo it's gotta go. Then i need to figure out why my brakes don't work...like at all. Then just a good cleaning and we'll be ready to go!

Brakes are probably frozen, you do live in Alaska!

I'm thinking its a ground or corroded connections, the trailer did go through a mild flood of salt water some years back. Hubs and brakes looks amazingly good when i pull them all apart. Thinking it's a wiring issue at this point since i know the controllers are working in both trucks i've tried it on.
