Next stages are Spokane, Portland, Seattle. All add ons, but we are this far west we should do them. From Portland we are going to drive up the coast towards Vancouver
Pulled the new trailer home today....After the RV mechanic put on a new set of steps and ordered a new side skirt. He forgot to fold the steps in before he went to show me how to properly use my brake controller!
The ******** at the 1st place we bought a camper told me to cross the leads! glad I asked!
That place was part of the reason I spun the EX and totaled the trailer! They set up my original hitch 3 inches low and had my brake controller setup way wrong!

If you cross the leads you would be sending 24volts to all your stuff and would destroy almost everything in the trailer...
I call it wrong when it is on the longest delay....
I don't like long delays on my brakes....just a me thing.....
This is the first thing I have towed w a controller on it. Knew nothing until yesterday when someone took the time to explain it!
I did read the instructions with it....it just didn't compute! BAD DATA input error! lol
I guess the biggest thing was the hitch! I didn't get any paperwork with it. It appears to have moved. I was never told to check it after 100 miles. I read the directions on the one I bought on Amazon! Learned a lot there.
After towing the brand new one....I think the old one had issues....Also think I was doing stuff I shouldn't have based off of my ignorance of never towing that large before.

Assuming you have 2 12 volt batteries, yes in parallel. Since you are adding a battery, that makes the most sense.
If you have 2 6 volt golf cart batteries, then it would be in series. The golf cart batteries give you more reserve when not plugged in to shore power.
