Apps For Your Trucks
Just curious what apps (for whatever devices) are being used related to our trucks. I've been using an iPod app for tracking fuel costs and economy as well as other costs and maintenance called Gas Cubby (it does work for diesel as well ). It is the only one I have tried and is free, but every tank it calculates the economy and it tells me when it is getting time for scheduled maintenance. Works on the iPod and iPhone (I don't have a smart phone yet). I saw a code reader pretty inexpensive, but it did require a separate cable for $99.

So far all the code readers I have seen will only pull generic codes. That means most of the important ones on your truck for power train will not be read as they are manufacture specific.
I use quite a few apps from forum apps to an Autozone app that let's you search parts pretty quickly.
I just recently got an iPad and have found the library in it pretty handy. Anything that is a .PDF can be saved as a book and I have access to them at anytime. I just convert anything that is not a .PDF over to one, so I can refer back to it later if needed.

for i devices (iphone, pod and pad) you will need a obd wifi connector, They can be purchased on ebay for about $90. Then umhum JB your I device and you will have all the apps you need to run gauges diagnostics ect.
I personally Like Torque for Android it can be used with a $15.00 bluetooth obd adapter.
