Yep, it's a 48 model CJ2A with a later 2B windshield frame on it. It has a 2.8L V6 from a Pinto, power steering sector from a T-bird and rear drum brakes from a mid 70s F100. Rest of the drivetrain is stock, except for the disc brake conversion on the front (I won't tell where that came from ) Not many mudholes slow it down, but I think I found one Sat that didn't have a bottom. The pic is after a rain shower had washed some of the mud off

When I was in high school I had a buddy who drove a '83 Bronco that had been a Sheriff's rig. That dude would sling the mud. Behind the school at that time, there was a couple of trails...and pits. You weren't a "man" until you took your rig down this one trail/pit we called the beast. It didn't have a bottom for at least a week after a decent rain. I remember watching another buddy with an old Scout wench the Bronco out of the pit. The stupid things we used to do after school....

Yeah, we used to have one like that down in the bottoms, it was one of the crossings of a slough and when the water first went down in the spring we would have a ball until it dryed up. I used to run 17/40s on my ol Bronco and it would sling a bunch of mud. I have seen us have mud dripping from branches 25' up in the trees I have a pic somewhere of my dog in the back when I had a half cab on it, you really couldn't tell what was mud and what was dog

It took me a couple of days to get back home, but here's the 3rd member of my Ford Family of Fine Automobiles (one of the keys actually says that!)
I keep telling myself that one of these days I'm going to restore/update the car for a Saturday night cruiser. But it's been 8 years since I parked it under the awning.

Yeah, Clevelands aren't to kind to 'em either. At one time I had my eye on a set of Crager's and a suitable set of Michelins to go under that road beast. But then I realized just how much those tires cost...and how easy it is to swap ends.

I have a pair of inner fenders and outer fenders and doors off a 75 pickup that might fit that Bronco if you are interested. The drivers door is perfect on the outside and only needs the door panel inside. The passenger door has some dents and so does the passenger fender. I'm gonna haul them off for scrap before long.
