Another good reason to daily drive a SD(carnage pics inside)

thankfully this is NOT mine, but a friend on another forum had a boo-boo the other day. Honda pulled out in front of him as he was coming thru the intersection at 5mph under posted speed.. I bet she won't run a red again(she was fine)

sorry for the superhuge pics, they're not my photobucket and I'm on a work PC and don't have editing options.
Rest of pics can be seen here http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=970935

Yikes!! Hopefully, she learned a valuable lesson here, pay attention and DO NOT pull out in front of a snarling SD.

There are times that I thought that I had a sign on the front of my trucks(specially towing and such) that said "pull in front of me and do something stupid". It really amazes me that people can get in a vehicle and yet not really be there

So that's what the Honda's 5 star crash worthiness rating means?

The Honda essentially "exploded".

Mass matters:
1) The honda had less mass, stopped on the road
2) The SD has more mass, it kept going.

EDIT: Darn trees, if the DOT had a field there, you could have driven it home!

It almost looked as if the trees in the ditch caused more damage to the F-350 than the Honda!

The safety rating of the Honda is quite evident. The CAR took and absorbed the impact, and did not transfer it to the driver. Crash ratings have nothing to do with the car surviving.

Somebody picking on the Matchbox Toy cars?

I had a drunk idiot that hit my truck. Moved the front 36mm to the right, cracked the 4X4 transfer case in 2 because of the torsion. They patched me up but I'm afraid the little S10 was toast. Where the cab met the bed you can see an obvious bend.

Unfortunately the drunk moron (4pm) survived and was brought to the hospital at taxpayer expense. No money for anything else including insurance but enough to get boozed up.

I could smell the booze from his unconscious body. Nosy wife decided to tilt his head back in case he choked on his own vomit. Cop said they would have to get a blood sample to see if he was drunk. I asked the cop to hand me his gun and I would get a blood sample.

I have sympathy for accidents like the above but not when the driver is boozed up. Drink or drive. Pick one.
