DC power hasn't exactly inspired me with confidence.

Chromedom's cable upgrade also goes a little further than the DC Power kit.

Chromedom's cable upgrade is great. I agree with that for sure.

No problem Steve!!!

Looks like it's almost alternator time for me too. Been watching mine lately and the voltages are starting to drop where they used to be a consistent 13.8-14.2. Now I'm seeing drops to 13.5 and below, I was sitting at a light and watched it drop to 12.7 volts

DC Power is only experiencing what many of us in the parts/supply world are experiencing, which is a shortage of parts and/or a long wait time for parts with no apparent explanation why. When you have a customer with a $350K+ machine sitting dead in the middle of his shop because he can't get something as silly as a bearing/bushing because the supplier is overseas, then what do you do? It sucks when you can't take care of your customers, no matter how hard you try. Trust me, I know first hand

If you upgrade to a 4/0 cable for the whole system, why use adapters and tag it on the side of existing factory clamps? Wouldn't it be more professional looking to simply remove the factory cables and replace them with the larger ones?

You wouldn't believe some of the leadtimes on some parts for these military helo engines.
It's down right silly.

Ive been sitting on a Mechman 250 for a couple of months now. Today I started replacing cables. Do I need to upgrade the wire to the fusebox also?

Ok Timbo, I may yet give them a shot at earning my business. I would eventually like to get a little more than the 140 amp I have on the truck now, but am currently entertaining a few avenues.

Not to mention that dealing with Ed takes a bunch of waves out of the equation AND it's a pleasurable experience as well.
