Air check valve tube & egr?

Air check valve tube & egr?
Ok, my air check valve rusted and broke off, I have a new one, but after two days of soaking the old one with PB blaster I can't get it off! After feeling around I felt rust holes in the tube also!
Now, with the broken off check valve, and the egr vacuum line off, I started it up and it ran much better with great throttle response!!! The PO removed (air pump) and blocked off most of the smog stuff, the cats are gone and it has two cherry bombs dumping out under the cab.
So I want to remove the air check valve tube and maybe block off the egr. I read in another forum on an '87 & up the holes in the head can be blocked off with 5/8-11x3/4 bolts, would that size be the same for my '86?
Also, does anyone know what size bolt would fit the exhaust manifolds to block off where those air tubes attach?
I'm still learning all of this stuff, so if I missed something or getting something wrong please let me know. Thanks!
BTW: It's an '86 F350 / 460

When I blocked the air tubes on a 302, I just took the assembly off, cut the pipe off and welded the piece with a block off plate, and then bolted it back on. You could also pinch the pipe shut and roll it over like a toothpaste tube to block it off, and then bolt it back on, though if it's showing that would not look as good as welding a plate.

As for the egr, can I get by with a non-egr carb spacer or would I need to get a non-egr intake?
