got some time to get on here and add some more progress pics this is my 79 f250 4x4 power steering box swap went fairly good i sliced the part of the frame that bends up in acouple places and bent the flair down flat ill be welding the cuts once i pull it all out i cut into the crossmember about 2'' so i could clear the radiator support i plan on making a new xmember as it's pretty hacked up from the PS swap and cummins i used 5'' c channel 1/4'' plate and some square tubing for the gussets between the frame so it don't cave in around the bolt holes this is all bolt in not permanent so it can be took back to stock if i wanted

Thanks take notice to it having inner fenders in the one pic hehehe front clip is all back on except for the grille need to do Alittle grinding for final fitment yet need to make the top IC mounts yet so I know the clearances for grille got some more pics but I figured I'd go back and start posting it in Alittle bit of order of progress just started TIG welding the IC top mounts to the IC and ran out of gas so I'm off to get some quick hope to get Ic mounted grille fitted and possibly either radiator or Ic tubes done this weekend but there's a bad hurricane coming up the coast and calling for rain starting tomorrow so plans might not go to well

Well I survived the storm with not to much trouble but didnt get anywhere with the crew like I wanted to last weekend ended up spending all weekend preparing for the hurricane patching some shingles on the roof and reinforcing my barn. Then had to replace the lift pump and fix acouple things on my newest project. Hope to get this IC mounted this week and start on mounting the radiator or IC pipes. I need to pull the front axle to sell to a buddy and will be front axle less until I get all the parts to rebuild my Dana 60 front. I've made a discovery that was right under my nose and never knew it. Went to a guys farm today with a buddy because he's helpin take a massive collection of cars to the junk yard for the guy and found this sad sight 69 crew rusted away never knew it was there and it is only a mile from my house I seen the last foot of the bed hanging out from behind a barn from the road but is to far away to tell what it was just the blue color you could see I can get this for scrap price I really don't want it to get crushed but it needs a**** ton of work roof is rusted through half way around the cab front floors are gone guy started cutting out the floors to replace but have up over 20 years ago on restoring it so it sat there since the farmer said I'm atleast taking the doors and headliner before it gets crushed if anyone needs anything I can pull it off for you or if you want the whole truck let me know its a inline 240 6 cyl 2wd short bed

Yea I agree I would like to keep it and maybe try to repair it one day but its a long shot even to just get it and not crush it I'd like to do but I'm at full capacity already with all my cars and can't bring any more unless I thin out my herd the farmer has tons of barns that he uses for his personal collection and rents to others I want to see about gettin a bay for the winter for my challenger maybe ill have enough room to fit this truck in to it could be repaired my truck was just as bad in the floor section but I lucked out and only had 1/4 of the roof rot that this thing has but if I can't store it somewhere its off to the crusher but ill definitely be taking the rear doors and headliner maybe strip it of anything that is usable n cut some of the cab up incase I ever need patch panels for mine

Man, such a nice crew...

I say, if the truck is to be crushed, and if you can, get the VIN plate and any other plates like that off of it and keep it as memorabilia...at least you can keep its soul alive LOL!

Unfortunitly not much last thing I did was make the bottom IC mounts and weld on to the core support still need to TIG weld the top mounting ears on the IC so I can make the top mounts been to cold and windy past month so not going outside much when it was decent out I been working on my daily driver doing brakes wiring and some things to get it ready for pulling season I did get one nice day and couldn't resist working on the crew so I took some extra wires and vacuum hoses off the engine and was messing with the TIG more next nice day Ill get the IC done about to take the Dana 24 t case out as I may have a buyer which will make me want to mount the 205 in its place. Can't make my mind up but this may be put on the back burner as I just picked up another crew project it's a 66 f250 crew cab 4x4 but was put on a 78 f150 2wd frame suicide rear doors were custom by the PO I'm thinking about lowering it and laying frame with bags I already have a 460 and 5 speed trans that I originally got for this crew but went with a 12v instead hmm decisions decisions monster truck or slammed which shall I pick?
