starts wont idle and shuts off

i can start the truck and it revs for a sec then shuts down. if i hold on the pedal when it starts up i can get it to stay running but soon as i let the rpm down it shuts off. Any ideas?

It doesn't seem like the CPS if three of them did the same thing.

1 of the cps was a newer one i got from advance auto a couple months ago and the 2 other ones i tried were ones i replaced before since i thought they were bad. Would the truck even start if the cps was bad?

A bad CPS can keep it from starting, but not necessarily. Is the new CPS a Motorcraft? Make sure to get one with the purple o-ring just to eliminate that as a possibility.

I went to a stealership looking for one once, and they tried selling me one of the old original recalled CPS (black on black), but for the pre-recall price. Look out, don't let them sucker you. You can get a Motorcraft (dark gray/purple o-ring) for $19.30 plus shipping from RockAuto.

its got fuel pressure when cranking like 20psi or so. after your done cranking should there still be pressure in the schrader valve when you push it in, Cause i dont have and fuel come out after i crank and get it to start for a sec then push the schrader valve in.
