Powdered Metal Rods

Another WAG, according to the LPOP oil flow picture above there are 5 main bearings........there should be 4 plugs, the oil filter housing is covering one, maybe 2 of them. Unless the oil passages were cast into the block...unlikely.

I think i was reading in that other thread i started. PMR = bad. Right?

On the old IDI's, some of the aftermarket turbos got their oil from one of these ports. That tells me that it would work for a mechanical oil pressure gauge.

Yep, powder forged rods. Weaker than ours.
