what's the magic number?

Hi! I was wondering what the magical number was for a 5.4 to obtain maximum fuel mileage?

Thanks,
Robert

Around 2000 - 2500 cruising seemed to work for me. Keeps it in a good torque range.

hmm.....guess that I'll have to do some driving on the interstate because 70 mph is about 2000 rpm! Maybe I should leave it out of over drive....

for fuel economy ive found about 1700rpms is the best I can do while still getting there with some speed, thats traveling about 57mph with 3.73s and 265s. Obviously this only works on roads with lower speed limits
