Just made my Apt for Tuesday at 1pm (of course my dealer had no idea of the update). Please update after having your truck update completed.

 

Stopped by the dealer to see about the flash because I think the truck shifts funny and they said the only way they would do it is if it had the codes listed on the TSB. They said if it's okay and they flashed it they might mess up something. This doesn't sound right to me. Should I check with another dealer on this?

 

I call BS...The Oasis report will tell them if your truck is a candidate for the new flash. The availability is tied to the VIN. The November flash did not apply to my truck. I have not checked to see if this one does...yet.

Ford has pulled this reflash off the system for now ill explain latwer after work I had mine in today and it stopped half way thru to find out they were pulling the update for now with no explantion why

 

Well I will cancel my apt then. Son of a....

 

The plot thickens!! Whoda thunk a TSB could be so elusive !!

 

I bet it will be superseded by another one... I just hope it's soon. We need a fix.

 

I need my fix!!!! LOL. On a serious note, I would rather get one good update rather than have to go back again. Please hurry Ford.

 

ha! yeah, I hear ya. I guess that's why they pulled this one so fast. so fewer people have to go in twice. silver lining and all that

 

Boyer just called and said my truck is done. They completed the new flash with no issue's and said the CEL and shifting problem is resolved. I guess only time will tell

 

What!? Is the update available or not. I already cancelled my apt. So confused.

 

Had mine in for the flash today... Service called me and said FORD pulled it because of issues with it. NICE

 

I had mine in at 7am this morning,I got a call at 930 to tell me that the software download stopped in the middle of the load so the tech call Ford to find out whats going on and they told him not to do any more vehichles as the feflash has been pulled with no explanation at all, he printed out what they sent him and gave me the print out and it basicly said what he had told me and to keep watching the oasis for further updates. So once again i lost my work truck for a half a day to get 6 miles on it before the light came back on, so this time Ford if you read this site i am officialy pissed!!! I have been very patient to this point and now you are effecting my wallet every time i lose my work truck!! Get your S...T Together and dont release a fix until it works!!

 

Now I am worried. I just picked up my truck and the flash was completed!

Line F of work order states

" Verified check engine ligt on. Hooked up IDS and performed self tests. Had codes P164A, P2A00. Checked oasis for any related concerns found TSB# 11-03-23 updated IDS to latest software and reprogrammed modules to latest calibration. Test drove and re-ran self tests system passed''.

Long story short....My truck received this flash so I will let you know if they are proactive about calling me back in. The CEL did not come back on during my drive home which is a good thing.

On the upside they replaced my wiper blades and ordered my rusted tow hooks at a $0 charge to me.
