repainting rear axle

Is there any tips for doing this? and is there any special type of paint i should use?

I usually used Rustoleum Hard Hat. Not sure if thats what its called anymore.

i just finished up my dana60 and i used just rustoleum primer grey and then let it dry for an hour then finished it up with 2 coats of epoxy paint. very tough stuff! looks great and not very glossy. i love the stuff.

I used POR15 and it seemed to work well. When I got brake fluid on the backing plates it didn't even touch the paint. I was pretty impressed with that.

On my Jeep I use Rustoleum hammertone black. Just wire brush and paint, lasts a year or two (sounds bad but Moab can take its toll). Looks good just missing a lot of paint on the bottom.......
