US Gear Over/underdrive info

Hello again and sorry for the delay for this information. As I said US Gear is no longer and the new owner does not supprt the tramsmission with parts or service. However I did not find it hard to find a tranny or the required parts to install it. Make sure you know exactly what you are looking at when sourcing as there are several cases that dont interchange and also they can be over or under drive.

DualRange Overdrive

Dealer info, Some of these people will know exactly what you are talking about, some will be dumbfounded when you ask. Depends on how long they have been a dealer. Since I am in Ohio I simply started at the top of the Ohio list and began making calls. In Ohio or near just skip to Jerry's in Harrison. They have the parts and know what they are talking about. I also got some parts from Rose Auto clinic in Monclair California, they also know what they are talking about.

This is where I sourced my NOS bare tranny. CCC parts in Tulsa. Beware that they are a wholesale outfit that normaly does not sell retail. They do want to get rid of the US gear stuff and will sell it retail if you talk nice ot them. My contact was Barry Bates. The units are slo on Ebay quite often but you need to make sure you get the correct one for your application.

With the other troubles I have been having I dont have that nailed down but they dropped about a little less than 500 RPM at 55. Remember that I am running 4.62s and a lot of Rs with the F S-D.

Thanks man. It was the RPM drop I was looking for. I had 4.10's when I bought mine, switched to 3.55's and loved them. Put on the 37" tires and got my cruising RPM down to 1800. Then when I did the 4x4 conversion, I had trouble getting 3.55's for the front ($$$$) so I'm back to 4.10's. Really like them, but I'd sure like to have my MT cruising RPM down again.
