I understand there is a 2 year shelf life for striping kits when ordered through Ford. Is there an aftermarket place that carries the exact replacement double stripe kits that go on the lower section of the two-tone paint scheme. Mine is a Torreadore Red (upper) and a silver (lower) paint scheme with a double, dark gray striping where the two colors come together. The only section of stripes I need are the ones for an 8 foot bed. (replacing the bed and need new stripes to complete). Tailgate is all the red and there are no stripes on the lower section, as is the original. Please advise.........thanks much

 

The stripes on my '08 needed to be replaced under warranty and of course factory stuff was used. They looked like hell after about a year so I asked the local sign company if they could copy them with something that would last. He did and they look exactly as original and just as good as the day he put them on a year and a half ago. One nice thing about going that route is that you can buy only what you need and not a kit for the whole truck or side.

 

Thanks for the info IB...we have an excellent graphics guy a few miles away who does signs and banners...I'm sure he could handle a few stripes eh??? I'll let you know how they turn out and how much it cost me vs. factory stripes....thanks again...wrpdjp
