Ecoboost and front license plate???
#16
After driving an EcoBoost truck the other day, they could mount the license plate on the hood for all I care. That's one great engine.
BTW, I wouldn't consider this a design flaw or rushed to market. I have a big opening in my front bumper of my diesel where there is a cooler and I've had maybe a couple bent fins at the most over 9.5 years and 170,000 miles.

Anyway, I agree. People are a bit over the top about the fact it's off-center.

the look of the offset front plate wouldn't be my personal preference but... it doesn't really bother me that much so it most definitely would NOT be a deal-breaker (if I were shopping for en EB truck). it's a great truck and a great engine, buy it, drive it, enjoy it, forget about the front plate.

I have to be honest, I'm a bit jealous.
For my purposes an EB F150 would be the perfect truck. But it wasn't available when my last one was wrecked and I needed something that could pull 11,000 lbs better than the 5.4L engine.
Which is why I like to lurk in the F150 forums...

She's doing well, but her back has been giving her trouble since the accident. I keep asking her to go back to the doctor, but she keeps saying she doesn't have the time.
I love my F350, but it's a bit of a tank for what I use it for. F150s ride and handle MUCH better! I'm planning on keeping this one for a LONG time though, and it doesn't really bother me. When loading FTE I see the F150 section first and think of how well that truck rode.

if the intercooler it punctured, you'll lose most of the boost and the engine will either be very sluggish or feel like it falls flat on its face when the boost would normaly come on. I've had a boost tube split itself on one of my previous trubo cars and it was noticealbe within the first few minutes it happened. I do doubt that the hole in front will be an issue though, its pretty high up.
