Blue/White Smoke on Cold Start

Blue/White Smoke on Cold Start
First off, I appologize if anyone is irritated by this thread. I know there are hundreds of postings about cold starts and smoke, but felt mine was a little different so I thought I'd go ahead and ask.
Anyway, it's been pretty cold around here lately. 30s to 40s in the morning. When I start my truck without being plugged in, it fires right up, but it blows a big cloud of white smoke with a blue tone to it. As it idles it blows a light blue/white smoke until it is completely warm. (several minutes). If I plug the truck in at night, not even a slight puff of smoke on startup. After it starts, it blows a real light bluish white smoke haze till it's completely warm. Very little continuous smoke when truck was previously plugged in. Truck has 111,000 miles on it.
So, does anyone have ideas why my truck would blow tons of smoke on start and idling when cold and hardly any smoke if plugged in? I've noticed that on statup, when cold, when it first fires, it revs up to like 1100 or something then drops back to idle. When warm (plugged in), it only jumps to like 750 and then settles down at like 600 rpms while warming up.
Just replaced the injectors.
The smoke smells strong like raw diesel. It sometimes looks greyish in color. It doesn't use antifreeze or oil either.
Anyway, anyone have some thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Ryan
