6.0 in a '97 F250

Ok....I've searched, and all I find is nay-sayers! I already have the motor/trans/and case from an '06, and a '97 F250 with a tired 7.3
I'm just looking for someone who has done this swap.
Now, before you start clogging my thread with your negativity....this is what I don't want to hear about.....
1. I don't care about the problems the 6's have.
2. I don't care if you think the 7.3 is better.
3. I don't care if the 7.3 is cheaper to upgrade(you can't argue with the 325 STOCK hp that the "6" already has).
All I do care about is if you've done the swap, or know somebody who has, or have a link to a thread or web site giving me some info.
So...if anybody can help me...please do. I would greatly appreciate it.

When you get to 25 posts, you can post that 6.0 in the parts section of the Marketplace.

In the meantime, do NOT put it here or anywhere else except the Marketplace.

That said, I hope you find some info about this.

With that 6.0, did you get the wiring harness and PCM?

If you have that stuff (or can get it), an EVTM (electrical vehicle tech manual?) with all the schematics is going to be a GOD send. With that, you should be able to hook up the wiring harness to the correct stuff in the vehicle, and get it to work.

But it's still a lot of work pouring over the schematics to find all the wires you need.

One of the biggest issues is going to be getting road-speed info to the PCM so it knows when to shift the tranny (if it's an auto, and even if not, it still needs that info).

The 2006 will definitely use CAN networking to talk between the ABS module and the PCM. Your 1997 will not have that.

So, what you're looking at is getting the ABS module from a 2006, and installing that too. Oh, and the dash cluster. And a few other things maybe
