empty weight 86 f-350

can anyone tell me what a empty f-350 standard cab 141inch wheel base,
will weigh?

i just bought a 86 f-350 351 m c-6 trans
it is a 10500 gvr truck.
i am tearing the old flat bed off to build a new one.
i would really like to build a flat bed with a dump hoist.
but after sizing material for the build.
and using alro steel weight chart for the steel i need to use to make it stong enough for a hoist it will be about 600lbs .
and the sissors and rear hinge and electric over hydraulic pump will be about 500 lbs..
i am thinking that i will have very little payload with a 10000lbs truck.
after i bought her i didnt run over a scale .
i just brought her home and started putting parts on to get ready to work.
now i have the bed off and tail lights out and cant take her to a scale.

if she is under 7000 i may build the dump and if its more i will just make a lighter flat bed and dx the hoist.

Mine weighs 8200 or so empty with the dump bed and tool boxes. I've hauled 4 tons in the bed... I think I'm tagged for 18k at the dmv, even though the trucks not rated that high

if the truck weighs 82 with the box and bed it would be at 6000 on a bare frame give or take.
i checked out your pic of the red ford good looking truck.
dont know if i want to go to much over the 10000 mark .
i saw a 89 at the junkyard and was looking at it.
its was a14500 gvr and had a better spring rack.
more leaves and thicker.
i could not tell if the rear axle was different.
they might have had bigger axle and or brakes too.
i drive a dump truck ....quad axle for a living , and want to pick-up some side work
i always know where the jobs are getting rid of top and fill dirt.
thought i would cash in on the small loads

I think there's a pic in my gallery where you can see my spring pack. It doesnt bottom out when fully loaded.

the 14,500 lb truck you saw was most likely a F-superduty(f450)

I will assume your F350 is a cab-n-chassis and not a pickup platform. The f450 spring will not just swap on to a cab-n-chassis

As for a dump body weighing only 600lbs, no way in hell, add at least 400lbs to that

From my limited research, I found the F350's, being a one ton truck are rated with a gross weight right around empty weight + 2k lbs. 1/2 tons are empty+ 1k, 3/4 are 1500

yes it iis just cab and chassis just got done ripping the old bed off.
the spring pack on it doesnt seem much bigger than the one on my old f-250.
miss that old truck 79 full float axle and 300 six.
that truck was a beast.
i had a steel stepside i made out of 2x2steel tube.
on the inside it was 8x4 and had steel sides 30 inches high
i had her mounded down with sand many times.
i could get 2 tons on her before she was sagging too bad.
that would just put her on the over loads.
i had 305 75r 16s on the back.

the 79 was a 7500 gvr so i am hoping to get 4 tons on it.
the dumpi am wanting to build is a flat bed dump. if i beef it up enough for the main rail to support a hoist it will be around 600lbs with headake.
th side boards will be more along with the hoist.

wel thats encouraging .
if its under six without the bed that would be great.
i would beef up the size of the frame rails for a hoist.
