Finally ordered one

Finally ordered one yesterday been looking for a long time. Had a 6.4 before thought it was time for an upgrade and see what the new one is about. Any concerns or things I should be aware of. Dealer told me it would take anywhere form 1 to 3 months to get in.

Congrats. I am getting close to doing the same. Enjoy, I am right behind you. BTW, what kind of deal did you get?

...and largely overstated. There has been a lot of cross posting of the same issue on different sites. There have been a relative few trucks that have had a nuisance CEL for an out of spec NOX sensor. Remember, there are 200000 6.7 Ford trucks running around out there now. Tens of thousands of these trucks are running around in severe cold and snow with no problems. Now, if your truck has the nuisance CEL, it's a pain but Ford has determined the CEL can remain lit while the EPA approves the already developed software re-calibration. For 95% of the CEL light recipients, there is no degradation of power. There are a few, very few, trucks with a bad DEF pump or DEF tank level sensors. There have been some reports of performance loss on some of these. The parts have arrived at the dealers for these repairs.

Regards

Congrats on ordering the truck. You did better on a deal than I could get here in Canada. I ordered on Jan 31 and they tell me it will be built between March 5 and 10th, delivered by the end of the month. That's a few weeks better than the 1st estimate of 12 weeks.

It's still a LONG wait!

I ordered mine on the 19th, how long after you ordered did you get an ETA. So far I have heard nothing about a build date.

No estimate on time of arrival or build date yet. Dealer said they ordered some back in November and have just got built with another 2 or 3 weeks out for delivery. Going to be a long wait for sure but hey maybe diesel prices will come down by then right?

I am pretty sure it is built into all the prices whether you buy one off the lot or have it ordered. When my dealer has printed off invoices for various trucks there is always a line that says delivery and handling on mine I believe it is $950 and I would have had to pay that whether I ordered or bought off the lot like I said.
