IDK that is hard to say. I was asking the PO of my truck the same question. He had an edelbrock streetmaster intake and apparently it wasn't all that great. I sold it on ebay, just because I hears so much bad about it. But, I personally would be a good intake like a stealth weiand they are impressive.

1985 F250 4x4 460, T19, 3.55 gears 265-75-16's factory non catalyst, un-retarded valve timing, Edelbrock dual plane intake, Edelbrock 750 vacumn secondarys, elec choke. 10mpg loaded, 15mpg empty. All this driving it like grandma put-put. Now with that said, if I play with the 4-barrel alot, I dont break 9mpg

I had a '96 FI 460, no modification. I found with ethanol treated gas (all that is available in my county) I would get 8-10, but when I bought gas outside the county I would get 12.5. Never seen better. Just picked up a '97. Getting between 9 and 11 right now... this one seems to notice different driving habits.

I have an F350 Crew Cab long box with an Edelbrock Performer intake with an Edelbrock 1406 electrically choked carb. The block was bored .030 over and the heads were left stock. I have a Borg-Warner T-18 transmission 4-speed. It is only 2wd with a 4.10 Dyna differential which may contribute to the gas mileage. It gets about 12 mpg. I don't drive too much on the interstate as the 1:1 final gear transmission winds up at speeds above 65. So, take that for what it's worth.
