4.2L V6 Transmission bolt pattern? What else works?

Hello. I need to know for once and for all what the bell housing bolt pattern is on the 4.2L V6. I have searched and searched, and several people THINK it MIGHT be the same as the 4.9L/5.0L/5.8L, i.e. Ford small block bolt pattern. But nobody has confirmed as much, at least not yet. So, for once and for all, for my information bank, and for posterity:

Will a transmission originally bolted up behind a 4.2L V6 bolt up to a 5.8L, or other Ford small block engine?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. I put a '99 M5OD tranny behind my '67 F100's 240, no problems at all.
