Thanks to all for the great info!
I am going to fabricate my own bracket and need some help. Can someone give me the dimension from the bottom of the frame rail to the center of the stabilizer attach hole.
Thanks again...

$8.00 at the local pick a part.

A little clean up and paint and it's ready to install.

Hey John, New to the forum. I'm ready to order the steering stabilizer parts, but I looked up the OEM Part#W611645-S439 (4-PCS M10X1.5 X 25MM BOLT) (BRACKET TO FRAME) you listed and it came up as spare tire carrier components/bolt. I just wanted to check with you, to confirm the #, before I start ordering parts. Thanks in advance -Chris

Chris, the number is correct. Ford uses the same hardware pack for various brackets mounted to the frame. It will all make sense once you have the brackets and are under the vehicle. Good luck!

Yep, I 2nd that. It'll make sense. All I did was read this whole thread, then put mine on no problem. The hardest part was using a magnet and various small socket extensions to get through the frame. You'll see. 20/20 hindsight I'd feed some wire through the frame backwards and wrap it around the bolts and pull em through, but you still have to hold em somehow to tighten them down.

Scotty, sorry but you worked too hard. If you tap the holes in the frame the ford bolts thread right in, no nuts required inside the frame. The ford exploded view shows it this way and it works. Hope this saves others some grief.

Interesting John , can you share the exploded view ? I'm doing this on my 88 so it may help me a bit .
