I see you are clearing 33s pretty easily, do you have any lift on your 89? I have have been hearing a lot of raves about the new Grabber AT2s, apparently they are pretty popular. They look great on your truck with the factory alloys, I would have went white letters out also. I have been thinking about looking into a set for my 96 F150 when the stupid overpriced BFG ATs wear out.

gool looking tires you'll have to let us know how they handle in midwest weather... I see rain and freezing rain hitting south IL soon...

As for the rims... I like the stock F150 and F250 aluminum rims... I wish I had a set of Ford Alcoa's for my 88 F250 so I could dress her up a bit.

I thought it looked like you had a little bit of lift on there, looks good. I am currently running a 2.5" suspension lift on my 96, 33s should clear pretty easily. I am running the newer Alcoa alloys on my truck I know that a 33x12.50 tire fits on them pretty nicely. I see a lot of people going to the Grabbers, a buddy of mine works for a local bus garage and they have them on all the service trucks. By the look and feel of the tread, I have to believe they bite pretty good in the snow. The local Cooper Tire dealer (also carries General) sales person says all the snow plow guys are going to them on their trucks. I recently had to put new rubber on my 84 F250 I went to Firestone Transforce ATs, they too are a killer snow plowing tire!

I put a set on my 03 dodge 3500 so I could sell it. I would not advise using them on an F250 or above as they are not rated for towing any kind of weight. When I put the Grabbers on my 3500, even with proper Air pressure the looked like they were low on air. Just something to think about.
I was thinking about putting them on my 150 though as I do like the tread design. however, I have always been a fan of Big O's XT's. and they come with road hazard. Which I really like?

Well, I just so happen to have grabbers on my dually, 235/85-16E size, rated at over 3000 lbs each - this is actually more than the factory wheels are rated at. Rear tires were at 55 psi at one point and they still barely bulged under the big heavy camper in the truck bed, at 75psi they look like they don't even feel the weight on them at all...

Also, to the OP - your wheels look nice, your tires look nice, but the fit between tires and wheels is less than ideal - the wheels are too narrow for these tires, or the tires are too wide for the wheels, you pick. If it were my truck I'd have either bought narrower tires, or even run some cheap steel wagon wheels just cause they're wider. I'd venture a guess that you bought the 33x12.50x15 tires? Those really want 10" wide wheels, with factory wheels 31x10.5x15 would have been a better fit...
