death wobble and/or?

ok I have a 96 F250 quad cab with a 460.. did a dana 60 swap from a 96 F350. 6'' sky jacker lift springs

problem 35 mph the thing throws me off the road. I am looking at the truck and the whole front end is moved over to the drivers side about an inch.. so I'm thinking track bar? anyone know who makes an adjustable one to pull it back over? or did I do something wrong in the install

sorry if i made a double post.. this is my first time joining a fourm

I don't know much about lifts, but it seems like with that high of a lift that you would need a longer track bar. It surprises me that the lift didn't come with one. When I had death wobble it was just the track bar bushings that were bad. Put in new Moog bushings and that fixt it, but now they're bad again after not even 2 years.

I also have a skyjacker 6in lift on my f350 and it came with a lowering plate for the stock track bar. The "death wobble" can be cause by multiple things. Such as uneven tires or unbalanced as well

Why not build one? You did a SAS so how much harder can that be. Just make sure that you get your geometry correct, or you will have other issues. The most important thing is to keep it as close in length and angel to your drag link as possible.

I would also think that any made for a f350 could be made to work.

The bushings in the track bar MUST have ZERO play.
Do you have a 6" drop track bar mount? You NEED one.

PMF makes an nice adjustable track bar with heim joint ends if necessary.

Another way death wobble can occur in these trucks is if the caster is off. Dod you get an alignment?

What brand do you suggest for bushings? I'm not impressed with Moog except for the lifetime warranty, but I still have to pay shipping...
Seems like they should last more than a year and a half!

Same thing happened to our jeep wrangler that had an 6 inch lift. Ours needed a better stabilizer bar. No problems after that

Steering stabilizers just MASK the problem, they do NOT fix it
