Lift Kits and ford warranty
I'm needing advice and want to see if you all can help. I have an 06 f250 with auto and powerstroke. Its about to turn 50,000 mi and i'm looking to buy a ford extended warranty.
I'm about to put a 4in lift and some 35x1250s. I'm wondering if ford will use the lift as an excuse not to cover certain parts of the warranty such as but not limited to steering and suspension, bearings etc. I went to 2 different ford dealerships and couldnt get a strait answer from any of them. I take care of my truck and only want the lift for better clearance when hunting and camping.
If I buy Fords Premium care warranty and need to have ball joints changed out, and have a lift, do you think ford will deny repairing the vehicle?
I really want to buy a warranty (mostly for the engine but the parts covered would also be nice) but am afraid I will spend a few thousand dollars on a warranty to only have them deny me service.
For all of you that have lift kits, have any of you ever been denied a warranty claim?

I never had suspension/drivetrain warrenty done when I had my 06 but had no issues with aftermarket stuff on the engine when gettin warrenty wrk done on the engine. You will only need a leveling kit on the 06 to run 35's atleast that was what I had on my 06 f350 and I ran 35/12.50/20 on aftermarket wheels on mine. the Warrenty work will depend on your dealer I would go talk to who that is and see what they tell ya as they will be the ones makin the decision in the end not us.
