I've also seen the welfare leaches. Many wont take a job because they make more on unemployment.
I've been considering setting up a filter rack and burning my used motor oil. But it plugs up injectors at higher concentrations.
Good for the bio guys. I was never a stick it to the man type of guy, because we taxpayers always wind up footing the bill, but now how are you supposed to survive?
If al of us agree here, how are we still getting the high hard one from our socialist/communist/marxist government? Nearly everyone i talk to agrees, yet it continues.

I am glad I had UI when I was laid off........Got us through some tough times......I paid into the system for YEARS!.....its my money, and I used it.
As for the parasites who make a career of welfare, they should have to submit to a UA test once a week, or lose benefits........Yeah, we pay Johnny and Joanie Tweeker to sit around all day and suckle off the teat, and do nothing more than make more little tweeker welfare recipients.
Don't get me wrong, there are some GOOD folks out there who fall on hard times these days, and need the system............But for the career professionals, find a min. wage job, or live under a overpass!
I am sure the the Chairman and his politburo up in Salem will fix it all, after all he did such a GREAT job his first 2 times as governor.

The thing that concerns me is that I don't think this is the end, I think it's just the beginning.
Diesel especially usually goes up during the first few months of late fall and winter, when things start to get cold. I've always believed that it was because more of the base fuel is going to heating oil and that is pushing up demand and cost. Heating oil is very commonly used around here, so I think that makes it effect us a little more.
Usually though, it's done by this time of year. Prices will stabilize and then fall again in a few months. I could deal with $3.74 through the winter. I will have to cut back a little here and there. The problem is I don't think $3.74 is where it's going to stop. In 08, it went over $5 a gallon here. Food went up significantly as well. I'm already seeing some food prices going up.
If that happens, there isn't any amount of cutting back that's going to help. Unless I just stop eating.
I can't say I'm looking forward to the next few months, or even the next few years. I have a feeling things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. If they do get better.

A UA, amen, employees have to pass a UA to earn the money that goes to the parasites. That should be a requirement when someone is on UE for a certain amount of time! Yes there are some good folks on unemployment, but they dont stay there for long.
As for my unemployment, I dont have it, as I'm self employed, so if I dont work, my family doesn't eat. Kinda prioritizes things for me. Lately I've been working twice as hard for half the money.
I can accept that diesel goes up during the winter as a result of home heating oil demand, what I can't accept is that it's the stuff left over after the refineries make gasoline, back in the old days it was trash, even with the additional refining for ultra low sulfer its still should be cheaper than regular unleaded.
I truly think things will get far worse in the very near future. It's my opinion that the current regime wants to bring our standard of living down considerably, to "even the global playing field".

How our current government got there is a total mystery.......in the 50s there were rooting out communists, today...theres one in the oval office.
I too am self employed now, and the cost of gas IS hurting me badly, I may have to take part-time min. wage job to keep things going.........NOT what I was looking for.

Do you need a heated space? Certainly a secure space. I considered it, but didn't want the chemicals around my kids. I'm reevaluating. What system do you use.......home brew? Fuel miester........or?

I agree, make those on welfare take a UA in order to get benefits.
My dad uses the Fuel Meister system, has had it for about 4-5 years now. He runs about 40 gallons of bio through his '05 Cummins every week or two. I think he said it costs him abotu $1.25 a gallon to make it.
I'm definately gonna help him out collecting oil and making bio when I get home and run some in my truck as well.
