4R70W question... basic5 or basic6???

My transmission (4R70W) in my 1995 f150, 5.0L (302) recently went out, I found a 1996 transmission in a junk yard (with a warranty...) however, I did not pull the trans myself, so I didn't see what it came out of, but everything lines up. Really the only things that are different were the numbers on the alum. plate on the side, and below the numbers on the tail piece to the right of the FORD logo says BASIC6, where as mine says BASIC5.... I am thinking the numbers on the alum. plate are production numbers (maybe?...) but what is the difference between a BASIC5 and a BASIC6?
