ok, i dont have the armrests tho they wont rub and i got an offer for a tan one and i was thinking of painting it grey, what kind of paint did you use?
I still want the KR top for mine ,, but fear the 08 kr leather would be too red so I guess I am ok
I found the same plastic fabric etc paint at my local auto supply place as I did at the Auto paint store ,, and they sell different sheen top /protective coats
ps the 08 colors are goofy ,, get what u can and paint it IMHO
i used what ever bill at dfuser sent me like 2 years ago. it wasnt anything name brand but it was the right color. i recently bought paint from adam at first coast diesel performance when i bought my 4 pod pillar. it was just about spot on match. maybe talk to him or a sponsor selling the gauge pods since they typically have the interior paint and know which ones match. i personally would stay away from "plastic" paints and get a interior paint. be sure to prep the surface clean it and then do even coats and get a few coats on it and it should look perfect. also if you can do it where there is no dirt, bugs and wind that will help the final prouduct
they dont make the 99-07 colors in the 08+ interior parts. both the grey and the tan colors are noticably off from our trucks. the tan is alot closer than the grey color. look up txfireman1972 i think he had a actual grey console and ended up painting it
And What Randy said the 08 colors are way off from the 07-
my wife commented on the tan and thats why I painted mine ,, I guess I have bad color preception lol
only way it would be tan is if it came out of a lariat truck maybe? if that is the case you could probably sell it and make some money back on the deal
