Update on the blown engine

Well this past weekend I pulled my blown engine and what a sight to behold when I pulled the pan off. The #7 rod bearing I replaced, to temporarily get my engine running after the oil pump went, blew the cap off and imprinted the bearing numbers into the cap. It chewed up the piston skirt and cylinder wall. With the broken rod banging around it pushed the #8 rod into the #3 main bearing, haha. There were chunks taken out of the journal that a hammer and chisel couldnt have accomplished. All in all I was impressed at how bad it messed it up without blowing through the block. Worked my *** off this weekend and put a newer engine in and got her back on the road. Next step is suspension and brakes, any ideas on what I should put in?
