Diamond Eyes Turbo Back

Hey guys, been looking at b-day presents for myself and I've narrowed it down to some new exhaust. I know a few people have replaced their downpipes with Diamond Eyes, but I was wondering if anybody has done one of the full kits and what the general concenses was on them. This is the one I was looking at. Please share your thought, I definitely like the 2 piece downpipe for easy install.

Looks nice. I like the 2 piece tail pipe. Make it a little easier to get in and you can exit where you want.

When I had my 99 I installed a Diamond Eye dual exhaust on it... 4" turbo back. PAIN IN THE ****! Getting the duals to line up and fit properly was a major pain, and the hanger they supplied for the y-pipe wouldn't work. I spent a lot of time on my own, and finally took it to a shop to get it on a lift. We got it in eventually, but it took some tweaking and custom hangers.
My buddy on the other hand installed a DE 4" turbo back single in his 00 and didn't have a problem one. I have no experience with their OBS kits but from my own research people's experiences have been much the same- singles go in pretty easily, duals are a pain in the @ss.

Just installed the SS 4" DE kit myself, went on very easy (two buddies did it while I was replacing ball bearings). But they liked the fact it went on very quick and easy too. I bought mine from Dale @ Tymar when I bought my Tymar DP. You will love it.

Pretty good system, but I prefer the MBRP usually. You could always get it from a forum sponsor and save some money at the same time...

MBRP down pipes are a bigger pain in the *** on an OBS than the Diamond Eye Peter.

Yeah, your correct, I should have explained it better. I meant diamond eye for OBS and MBRP for Sd.

I don't think you can handle the job Brian, thebig350 is not going to like your dirty hands all over her and it might get nasty!

I'm gonna have to see if I can find a dirty ole bird to give me a hand than, Glenn. Yeah, I don't think I am gonna waste my time crossing my fingers and hoping the cab is far enough back and the engine far enough forward to try an MBRP. It looks like Riffraff has a slightly better price, as long as it's the same I'll get it from him.

Clay at Riffraft is a great guy Brian, I have gotten stuff from him and he will not act like that guy on the other thread acted. He will communicate with you! I'll help but it depends on how for I would have to drive!

If you have access to a lift, I'll come up to you and even beer you for your time.

sorry, no lift. I'm one of those tough oldbird's that lays in the gravel to get it done, or a foot of snow.
