Heater blower ?

My heater is 6 volt so i bought a reducer to put before the switch. The switch is a pull switch with two positions, And on the switch the terminals are labeled B and M. Is B battery or blower and what does M stand For? Heater has one wire?

One picture is how i hooked up my disconnect

Just an educated guess. But it could be that B stands for battery and M stands for motor (blower motor).

If you ever decide to go to 12 volt the motors and switches are really cheap. I think you would be happier with this set up because of increased blower speed, but a reducer will work fine also

Okay thanks, I would like a 12 volt but thats on the back burner for now. Think i have to pop for the 12 volt wiper motor with the extra cash. I put 6 volts to it and i just get a spark no movement. I ground black and put the hot to red or green.

i'm not sure, but i dont think the 6v wiper motors have a separate ground wire. that would explain the sparks. I'd have to dig out the diagram and look again, but i do believe the 4 wires/connections are low, high, and park and the shut off sensor kinda jobbie. i'll dig out my service manual iffin you want me to

The wiring diagram would be helpful. I think i have three wires coming out of the motor. Thanks Bob

Here's the 6v Factory wiring diagram -- the motor is grounded by the case, I believe.

no matter what else, it's nice to see the diagrams survive and still be of service. I can dig up the wire colors tomorrow iffin you still want. which does what. and you're right, 3 wires from the motor, 4 at the switch with power. just aint been out to the icebox called the garage in a few days. (11 below by morning i hear tell).

Kitchen thermometer says 5 below at the moment, and it reads warm as it's sensor is mounted to the exterior wall. I still kick myself HARD for not running a gas line out to the garage when i had the trench and walls open to do the new electric out there. running the 220v heater out there makes the electric meeter spin like a frizbee on these kinda days.

Found the switch with the cut wires in the box of crap the PO gave me. F=Green A=Red P= black B=batt According to the stampings On my switch out of a 53 P is where B is and B is where P is on JD's Drawing. Anyway my motor is still dead, So i guess it's the $145.00 replacement 12 volt
