This is where I am now.

This is where I am on the 53 F-100:

I hate painting a frame. Just when you think every little hole is painted, you see bare metal somewhere else.

I actually started to put down the black paint, but had the gun adjusted wrong. (this is my first time with a HVLP gun) I had too much paint and got some orange peal right out of the gate. I just need to sand a cross member and start over. Live and learn.

Put this in the FTE classifieds and as well check locally in your local chapter`s sell/wanted thread. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/3...ng-thread.html

Hey phil, there is a swap meet in Louisville at the end of March. I'll probably go. Maybe you can go, or give me a list of what you need and I'll look for it. Here's the link:

Hey guys! Not to hijack this thread, but this is the most ky guys I've seen post in a thread. Ky does have a chapter on FTE. It is lacking in members, so, if/when you guys get a chance, you could post up in the latest B.S. thread. I'm from Camp Springs, Melbourne, Alexandria area, about 15 miles southeast from Cincinnati.

Welcome from sunny So Cal! I am a newbie here myself, and I am just starting in on a '55 F100. Frame looks great so far.

Latest progress

It has taken a while, but the 53 is finally sitting back on all four tires. I'm in the process of putting all the little pieces back on, then I'll set the engine back in place.
