Excursion Front Suspension and Frame questions

Excursion Front Suspension and Frame questions
I am looking at getting an Excursion. I am going to put a 12 valve Cummins in it eventually, and a beefed up 4 speed non-electronic OD tranny behind it. (4L80 or something). I will also be swapping in a Dana 60 (probably a Super 60). It will roll on 37-40" tires, and double bead lock wheels.
I do not need or want to spend $20,000 on some 4x4 diesel Excursion just to remove the drivetrain and replace it, when I can pick up a 2wd gas Excursion for well under $10,000 and build it how I want it.
Here are my questions:
1. Do the 2wd Excursions have the same frame as the 4x4 Excursions? Meaning, are the leaf spring bracket mounting holes there on the frame? If so, then I will just install aftermarket drop brackets and leaves, and a leaf sprung Dana 60.
2. Does the 2wd Excursion have the same front suspension as the 2wd F-250 from the same era? I believe it is a coil sprung Twin I Beam with separate shocks like the 80-96 F-150s were.
3. If the above is true; What is the spring pad width on the 2wd Excursion? Is it the same as the newer Super Duty trucks with coils and radius arms? (I can compare with specs from a newer truck if somebody has the measurements).
Thanks in advance folks. I am trying to get an idea of which Excursion I need before I "go shopping".

1. Pretty much the same, but i'm not sure about the front leaf brackets... more on this below.
2. Yes, same type suspension as the 99-04 2wd super-duties.
3. I have a stripped 2wd excursion chassis sitting at my shop, I can try to measure for you and see if the hangers are there. But again, it is exactly the same as the trucks mentioned above.
hope that helps, good luck on the project!

Freeride pretty much hit everything.
1. I can't imagine Ford producing different frames with different mounting points for the 2WD and 4WD option. I'd say it's safe to assume that the mounting holes are there. On a side note, does anyone have pics of or know exactly where the leaf-spring bracket holes are located on a 4WD? Since I have a 2WD, I can easily check. Just have to know where to look.
2. Yes, the Excursion shares the Front Twin I-Beam suspension with 2WD Super-Duties from 1999 all the way to the current, 2011 Super-Duty. I would actually use the suspension from a 2005+ Super Duty because of the bigger brakes compared to the previous years.
3. I'll work on getting that for you as well if freeride doesn't beat me to it.

AALLLL RIIIGGHHHTT!!! Thanks fellas.
Basically, what I want to do (in case I wasn't clear) is either leave the 2 wheel drive spring buckets in place and install an 05+ SD front axle and suspension,
or
Install the leaf spring stuff and go with an 99-04 front axle and suspension.
SO, mainly, I need to know what the coil to coil distance is on the 2wd, verification of whether or not the leaf spring bracket holes are in the 2wd frame, and if anybody has an 05+ 4x4, what the spring pad distance is on an 05+ truck.
