ford 9" is oem, how do U know it's a 289? (poor bottom end not much on top either),

discs up frnt could B a D44, just swapped in a later model whole frnt clip,

PS can B standard w/ the same yr as frnt clip (scavenged the same rig? as I did or) in ur part of the world - plenty a junk yrd ford brackets would fit,

alu radiator/ele fan not oem a course, coolers could B.

There's a good history (yrs w/options and changes yr by yr over on CB) that can solve some of ur Qs.

Fella on here (numbers dummy, 40 yrs ford prts man) is excellent source for runnin numbers and finding obsolete prts,

T v J T-cases have (not only slightly different gearing but also) 4 speeds on T and 3 on J.

The 9 " looks different that the 9" in my 79 1/2 ton parts rig. I would guess since the alum edelbrock says performer 289 it is. One of my parts rigs has a performer 302 so I am just guessing.

PO said the rad was a outa a stockcar and the trans cooler is clipped to the back side of it. The p/s cooler is on the dvrs side fenderwell.

I hear #'s Dummy had to take a internet/FTE break due to health problems? That ol dude rock on finding parts ect.... a guy named mike o0o0o0o sort of took his place.

I am still learning and figuring it all out, thanks for all the help and keep in input a rolling. I am cking out those other bronco sites and reading all I can, there is alot of info.

Updates with pics

Well after lots of elbow grease she is up and running alot better. Dropped the rear tank cleaned it out and put a sock filter on the end of the pick up tube. Ditched the side tank.

Fluids, fasteners, filters, fix wiring, fix this and that.....and alot more of and.......

Different carb (Edelbrock), now it will start and idle and kick in the 4bbl. Fenderwell tool boxes, seats/belts. Headers now have flowmaster hanging off them.

Was driving around the back yard, and yea its missing a dvrs side wiper arm, the windshield is lexan anyway, so they are coming off. And I need to get a proper battery hold down bracket.

I got the title all straightened out and in my name, it was never put in the last owners name but was dated on the back as sold in 2003.

That came with alot back fines, but its all mine now, clean and clear.

Nice to see someone using one as intended. Getting too many trailer queens and mall crawlers around. In the process of building a trail rig myself.

Trailer queens and mall crawlers can always end up in the hands of someone who will use it in a different way. This rig has had a rough life and it is not going to get any easier in the near future.

chrlsful, nope I am still overseas in Lithuania making more "Bronco" money, lol. But looks like I will get home by this weekend and get to working on it and spending some of the money I just made.

Yea aluminium lock rings, they came with it but that ='s less money outa MY pocket.

How's you project going?

Looks great.... and I thought my Bronco was beat up! The best dent I have is a crushed in driver's fender where a dear head-butted the fender in! Not kidding..... it left the fur all over the hood so using basic detection... that is what happened!

Yes the dvrs fender argued with a tree and lost, but he knew we were there.

Work is work my friend, where ever you can go to find it, is my motto. Besides you've seen my project list I have to go to work to get some time off. lol
